Project brief: The construction of a new 'Dry Build' school.
The Powersaving Company undertook the complete supply and installation of all mechanical heating and plumbing works including rainwater harvesting.
A Wavin 35mm Thermoboard underfloor heating system was installed. This system negates the need for a wet screed. As soon as the insulation and pipes were installed, the 22mm chipboard flooring was laid. This process dramatically speeds up construction time as the finished floor surface can be laid immediately.
To supply the heat for the building we installed two Daikin Altherma 16kw air source heat pumps.
In addition to the heat pumps we also installed three Daikin VAM heat exchange units.
A Freerain rainwater harvesting system was installed to supply water for the toilets.
